Wow just so in awe & honoured to have Isobel share some of her secrets to success & her beliefs in her capability & possibilities…
1) Motivations: What makes you strive & thrive? What gets you out of bed in the morning?
I love to be busy and to feel that I am making an impact in the world. As a running coach, I love helping people achieve their goals, and this sometimes includes helping them deal with issues in their lives, as we all know this impacts our running.
I always run first thing in the morning as this gives me energy for the day and it's when I have the best ideas not only for my business but also for how to help my clients on their running journey. I often stop and put notes into my phone as I go. A bit disruptive but I've learnt I can't rely on my memory!!
2) Inspirations: What / who / where inspires you? What influences your actions/life?
Although my parents have now passed away, I still see them as my inspiration. I now see what amazing people they were and how much they positively influenced my life. As I probably didn't always show enough gratitude to them in real life, I now live my life in a way that I hope would make them proud of me.
3) Self care: What rituals / routines / practices / training do you use to nurture / strengthen your self?
I like to live my life with routines. I find this eliminates decision fatigue and allows me to get more done each day. Every morning I get into my running clothes that are laid out from the night before.
I then have a coffee whilst I write in my gratitude journal. I then go for my run.
After that, I either work on my business or work at the local high school as a relief teacher.
Self-care comes from a clean healthy diet (most of the time!!), stretching every night and early to bed. I find this helps my body feel so much better!
4) Self belief: What do you believe about yourself? How does that affect what you do?
I believe that I am capable of giving anything a crack. I may not always succeed in the traditional sense, but just giving it a go is success to me. I love to challenge myself and see what I am capable of and I know that I am capable of a lot and possibly even more than I can imagine.
5) Warrioress: your favourite style from the range & why?
I love to wear skorts, so any of the skorts!! I particularly love the recycled desert nature and mountain bloom patterns.
Inspired to connect with this incredibly capable warrioress…
