Lisa was one of my first Warrioress customers when I did my first expo & I saw her run her 24 hour track race in her Warrioress skort, it is an honour to share Lisa’s passionate response to the Warrioress questions below…
1) Motivations: What makes you strive & thrive? What gets you out of bed in the morning?
I’m not a huge fan of the word motivation, I believe in consistency and determination - this is what drives me. It is the little habits that we do day after day that lead to the consistency and our growth and achieving what we set our mind too.
2) Inspirations:  What / who / where inspires you? What influences your actions/life?
I am continually intrigued and amazed by what he human body can do, we are capable of so much more than we initially believe or perceive. This is my why and what inspires me - to push myself to reach new distances, push through tough times, pain, problem solve and test myself physically and mentally, and still enjoy the simple act of running from one point to another - this continues to drive me and fuels my why.
3) Self care: What rituals / routines / practices / training do you use to nurture / strengthen your self?
I am a huge believer in recovery and looking after our body, mind and spirit. This is such an integral part of how we look after ourselves, we must focus on self-care. I am very protective of my sleep and my nutrition plays a huge role in how I recover from my physical and mental activities and preparing me for what’s ahead. I cross-train with strength and resistance training, pilates, yoga and regular walking so that I’m not just focussed on running. Regular massages have also been a part of my routine for many years now.

4) Self belief:  What do you believe about yourself? How does that affect what you do?
I believe that I am strong and determined but always on a path of learning and discovery. This is what drives my goals and what I want to achieve for myself. I want to see how far I can go with my running and the distances I choose to run and I’m willing to learn along the way.
5) Warrioress: Your favourite style from the range & why?
My favourite style is the skorts with the undershorts. I have been running in skorts for many years as find them to be the most comfortable to run in and can carry what I need in the pockets as I usually have my phone (for safety) and keys.
I love to be able to wear bright patterns and colours for my skorts so always on the look out for interesting fabrics and designs and this is what draws me to the Warrioress range. I think we naturally choose running gear that reflects our personality but also that we feel strong and energised in.
